01

Start with what matters at your property

A useful digital guest book begins with real guest questions, rather than a long list of features. Think about the arrival details people ask you to repeat, the instructions that have changed since the binder was printed and the local places you actually recommend. The answers below explain how HolidayHomeOS approaches those details.

The same approach can suit an urban apartment, a country cottage, a cabin or a coastal home. Independent hosts, individual owners, Airbnb Superhosts and property managers are all part of the intended audience. Direct bookings and reservations from other platforms can share the need for a thoughtful welcome, without the guide becoming a rental marketplace or promising an integration.

02

Know the difference between the preview and the platform

The public demo is an interactive product preview, with sample data and browser-local progress. It is a place to explore the arrival assistant, guide, local ideas and departure flow. It is not a live account for your property, and actions there do not send real messages, invitations or authority submissions.

Connected services are still being developed. That includes secure individual guest links, authenticated team access and hosted updates across devices. The intended connected guide would show the latest owner-maintained information when opened or refreshed. An automatic local-business opening-hours feed, live notification service or universal offline capability is not promised.

03

A little clarity before you explore

The product uses one standard plan: €89 per property per year including VAT, with everything offered and future benefits as added. Purchasing is not currently available. There are no alternative tiers, per-booking commissions or lifetime purchase offers presented here.

The questions below cover both practical guest use and the intended owner and staff workflow. Where a capability remains in development, the answer says so. For a concrete feel for the experience, open the Villa Paraíso demo; it is a specific example stay, rather than a claim that every home has the same facilities, welcome pack or local information.

01What is HolidayHomeOS?

HolidayHomeOS is a digital guest-book product being developed for holiday homes and other short-stay rentals. It brings a personal welcome, arrival details, house essentials, local ideas and departure guidance into a browser experience on a guest’s phone. The current interactive preview lets you explore the intended experience with sample data. It is not a rental marketplace, a booking engine or a replacement for the platform where a reservation was made.

02Who is it designed for?

The product is designed for independent hosts, individual property owners and property managers, including Airbnb Superhosts and hosts taking direct bookings or reservations through other rental platforms. A city apartment, country cottage, cabin or seaside home can all benefit from a clear, considerate guide. References to rental platforms describe the intended audience; they do not imply affiliation, endorsement, an approved partnership or a working platform integration.

03Why replace a printed welcome binder?

Printed binders can become dog-eared, hard to find and expensive to keep reprinting. A new router, a revised checkout time or changed bin instructions can leave old information in circulation. A digital guide is designed to give the owner or manager one place to maintain those details. A short printed welcome or QR card may still be useful alongside it, especially for guests who prefer a physical reminder of where to begin.

04Is the connected service available today?

The public experience is an interactive preview. It uses sample stays and browser-local interactions to demonstrate the product. Authenticated access, shared hosted information, real invitation delivery and live guest-host messaging are still being developed. A change made in the preview should not be treated as an update sent to a real guest or another device. The preview is useful for assessing the approach before connected services are available.

05How will updates reach guests?

The connected product is intended to let an authorized owner or manager maintain one current guide. Guests would see the latest connected version when they open or refresh it, rather than depending on a previously printed binder. That shared update flow is still in development. This is not a promise of an instant push notification, an offline update or automatic synchronization with a reservation platform.

06Does the guest need to download an app?

The guest experience opens in a web browser, so an app-store download is not required to explore it. Guests can optionally add it to their home screen where their device and browser support that action. Installation always needs the guest’s choice, and the available steps vary by browser. Adding a home-screen shortcut should not be understood as a guarantee that every feature works offline.

07What makes the guide personal?

The experience uses a guest’s preferred first name and gives each adult their own welcome link and progress through the stay. Someone who has acknowledged a prompt should not have to keep dismissing it because another guest has not finished. The public demo illustrates this using sample guest links. Secure individual invitation links and authenticated guest sessions are part of the connected product being developed.

08How does the guide change during a stay?

The assistant is designed around the property’s local time and the phase of the stay: preparing to arrive, arrival, evenings, days in the property and departure. Arrival essentials make room for local discoveries once guests settle in. A look ahead can make checkout easier before the final morning. The preview lets you explore these moments with sample dates; it does not infer that a real guest has arrived from their location.

09What happens when a guest marks a reminder done?

An acknowledged arrival, Wi-Fi or welcome-pack prompt steps out of that guest’s daily view, while the underlying villa or property guide remains available. Arrival Wi-Fi and welcome-pack daily prompts are relevant on arrival day, not every morning of the holiday. Each adult’s acknowledgements are separate. In the preview these interactions are stored on the current device, rather than synchronized through a live shared service.

10What belongs in the house guide?

Useful essentials include directions to the entrance, parking guidance, Wi-Fi information, appliance instructions, bins and recycling, house rules and checkout arrangements. The best guide answers real questions clearly without burying the guest in unnecessary detail. Owners and managers should maintain information appropriate to their own property and verify sensitive access guidance. Example details in the demo describe its sample stay and are not instructions for another property.

11Can guests choose a maps app?

The preview includes a choice of Google Maps, Apple Maps and Waze, with the preference remembered on that device. Directions can help guests find the property entrance and explore local places. Map providers may handle routes and starting points differently, so guests should check the destination before setting off. This product feature does not imply a partnership with a maps provider or guarantee a provider’s route accuracy.

12Are restaurant hours and local recommendations updated automatically?

No automatic opening-hours feed is promised. Local recommendations should be maintained by the owner or manager and supported by relevant source links where available. Restaurants close, seasonal schedules change and activities can require advance booking. Guests should check the linked source for current hours, availability and practical details. A thoughtful digital guide makes those sources easier to find; it cannot guarantee that every business is open.

13How do welcome packs work?

A welcome pack is shown only when it is enabled and at least one item has been explicitly confirmed as physically placed for that booking. Choosing an item from a list is not the same as putting it in the property. Guests see the confirmed contents, rather than a shopping plan. A new booking starts without placement confirmation, and changed contents need a fresh check. Empty or disabled packs stay out of the guest view.

14Can I work with a property manager and cleaning team?

The platform vision supports an owner working directly or with an optional manager. Staff preparation and cleaning checklists are intended to sit alongside a clear picture of unresolved issues. A property should not be marked ready while required checks are incomplete or blocking issues remain. These team workflows are demonstrated in preview; authenticated staff access and shared operations are in development. Staff issue conversations remain separate from guest-host conversations.

15Does the preview send messages or registration information?

No. Preview messages remain on the device, sample guest links do not send invitations, and registration demonstrations do not transmit information to authorities. Form completion and authority acceptance are separate concepts. The public preview is not evidence of legal compliance or a working authority submission service. Connected messaging, secure registration and any jurisdiction-specific requirements need their own implementation and verification before real use.

16How much does HolidayHomeOS cost?

The price is €89 per property per year including VAT for one standard plan. It includes the full benefits and everything offered, plus future benefits as they are added. The price is annual and property-based; it is not a one-time lifetime purchase or a commission on each booking. Purchasing is not available in the current preview. The annual price includes VAT.

17Are there different plans or feature upgrades?

There is one standard plan, with no additional tier or feature-upgrade option presented here. Each property costs €89 per year including VAT, with everything offered and future benefits as added. The interactive preview shows the direction of the product, including capabilities still in development. A single plan should not be read as a claim that every demonstrated connected capability is already operational or available to purchase today.

18How can I try it, and what happens at departure?

Open the guest demo to explore the example Villa Paraíso stay. You can move through arrival, later days and departure, inspect the guide and try sample interactions. Departure includes checkout guidance, a practical checklist and space for feedback. The same independent review opportunity is offered regardless of feedback. Villa Paraíso is an illustrative example property; its images do not imply ownership or an endorsement of HolidayHomeOS.

19Can guests use HolidayHomeOS on the property TV?

Yes. The native TV app brings the published property guide into the living room, with a personal welcome during a configured current stay, Wi-Fi QR details, house information and local recommendations. Guests browse with the remote and can scan venue QR codes for websites or directions. The paired TV and connected phone guide use the property’s published content. Personal guest invitations and lead controls stay separate from the TV’s shared read-only phone handoff.

20Which TVs can run the app, and how do I install it?

The current app is installed by sideloading on a compatible Android TV or Android-based Fire TV device running Android 8 or newer. Check your exact model. Open /tv for the APK and instructions, or use Downloader code 4395660 to reach that page. After installation, scan the app’s separate pairing QR with your phone and choose a property you own or manage. Samsung Tizen and LG webOS require a different app; no store availability is claimed.
