When the binder falls behind
A printed binder often starts with good intentions. Then the router changes, a page comes loose and a handwritten correction competes with an old instruction. Reprinting a whole guide for one new detail is easy to put off. Guests may arrive carrying a screenshot that is older still.
HolidayHomeOS is being developed to give owners and managers one place to maintain their property guide. The connected version is intended to show the latest information when guests open or refresh it. Shared hosted updates are still in development; the current preview demonstrates the experience using sample information.
Useful before it is impressive
The best guest book answers ordinary questions well. Which entrance should I use? Where can I park? How do I connect to Wi-Fi? What should I know about the kitchen, recycling or checkout? Those details deserve clear language and a sensible place, whether the property is a city apartment, woodland cabin, country cottage or seaside home.
The guide also leaves room for discovery: a good breakfast nearby, a walk worth taking or a place to buy the first evening’s groceries. Recommendations should be maintained by the host and supported by relevant source links. Business hours and availability vary; an automatic live opening-hours feed is not promised.
A welcome that follows the stay
A static document treats every day alike. HolidayHomeOS explores a different approach: arrival essentials first, local inspiration as the stay unfolds, then a gentle look ahead to departure. Once a guest marks an arrival reminder done, it can leave their daily view without removing the underlying guide.
Each adult has a personal welcome and their own progress. Browser access keeps the starting point simple, with an optional home-screen shortcut where supported. A small printed card can still point guests towards the guide; replacing the binder does not mean every guest needs to navigate without a physical signpost.

The interactive guest demo uses Villa Paraíso as a specific example property. Try the stay phases, guide, map preferences and departure experience to judge whether the approach fits your own hosting style. Messages and sample registration interactions are demonstrations, and secure connected services remain in development. One standard plan is priced at €89 per property per year including VAT, with everything offered and future benefits as added.
